The music of Egozcue is located at the intersection of new tango and contemporary jazz: he composes and interprets deeply emotional pieces, with Argentine roots and intense rhythmic development. Astor Piazzolla himself gifted Fernando with his work 500 Motivaciones, which was premiered in Buenos Aires, coinciding with Piazzolla's designation as Illustrious Citizen of the city.

His quintet combines the warmth of the guitar and violin with the versatility of the piano and the solidity of the double bass and percussion in its various possibilities. Both his classical training and the influence of jazz and contemporary music merge into a very defined personal style; precision and feeling that will find their expression in flamenco dance led by Cristina de Vega and with David & Juana, one of the best tango couples of the moment.
